Seen from above, Bocagrande looks like an inverted letter L that starts from "La Base Naval,” goes along San Martin Avenue, passes by the beaches (which have the best best shrimp cocktails in the city) and ends up in El Laguito which is a great surf spot. Located toward the south of Cartagena, Bocanegra has quickly become a major area for tourist and commercial activity.
