Eos is laid out around a large infinity pool and hot tub, bordered by a deck with plenty of chaise longues and surrounded by views of the mountains and sea. The great room opens to a covered outdoor sitting area with barbecue, and a separate outdoor dining area lets you have a soundtrack of birdsong with your meals. If you’d rather bring your own music, the house has an iPod dock, as well as a home theater, Wi-Fi access, air conditioning and a washer and dryer.

The villa’s open, airy interiors and walls of sliding glass doors let the tropical breezes waft through, while contemporary furnishings set a cool, casual tone. In the great room, a large sectional provides seating for everyone, and a graphic red area rug is a fun pop of color. The dining area’s plush upholstered chairs are contrasted with a rustic wood table and smooth concrete floors. Even the fully equipped kitchen has ocean views, as well as a large island that can be used for prep work or relaxed meals.

Four air-conditioned bedrooms at Eos, each with an en-suite bathroom, can accommodate up to eight guests. There are two bedrooms with king beds, one bedroom with a queen bed and one bedroom with two twin beds. Many of the bedrooms open to balconies, so you can start each day with a breath of fresh air or fall asleep to the sound of the waves in the distance.

From Emerald Woods, it’s about 5 miles to Playa Marbella and 10 miles to Playa San Juanillo or the San Juanillo Hotel and Restaurant. A grocery store, shopping, tennis court and small airport can be found in Nosara, about 19 miles away, and the golf course in Tamarindo is about 37 miles away. The hospital and international airport in Liberia are about 70 miles away
