With three floors of immaculate interior to call home, the accommodation features a wealth of period features throughout, from striking marble flooring to original open fireplaces. The wonderful high ceilings offer an uplifting ambience for entertaining and daytime relaxing, whilst the elegant antiques add a classic touch, for a truly timeless stay.

The gorgeous ground floor offers a host of beautiful reception rooms overlooking the garden and lake. Offering a lovely setting for socializing, the royal red drawing room is furnished with a comfortable sitting area, wall mounted flat screen TV and a fireplace, alongside a dining area perfect for afternoon teas. The room further enjoys double aspect views of the lakefront garden, as well as direct access out into the beautiful private grounds.

Also situated to the ground floor of the villa, the separate dining area offers a rustic and homely ambience in which to entertain. Decorated in warm earthy tones and featuring a romantic open fireplace, groups of 6 can easily wine and dine the night away here.

An accompanying fully-equipped kitchen provides the perfect setting from which to cook delicious meals and enjoy the services of a private chef during your stay, with a marble work top and breakfast table to hand. A large gas hob range and oven also features alongside a full host of appliances, including a toaster, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher and fridge.

From the kitchen, French doors lead directly out to an ‘alfresco’ dining area with BBQ. Perfect for hosting informal lunches and romantic lake view dinner parties, the breathtaking setting makes it ideal for hosting all manner of occasions.

Further reception rooms are also situated to the loft-style level of the villa’s second floor. These low beamed ceiling rooms offer a strong family-friendly appeal, with a large flat screen TV with DVD player provided alongside a comfortable seating area with pool table and gym.

The villa’s sleeping accommodation is ideally suited for large parties and groups of 10, with 5 beautifully presented double bedrooms and one double sofa bed provided. Each room is extremely bright and spacious, exuding a tranquil ambience in which to easily relax and unwind. Each bedroom boasts either a view of the lake or villa grounds, to serve as a magical backdrop in all seasons.

The principal master bedroom enjoys a luxury en-suite, whilst the remaining 4 bedrooms are accompanied by two family bathrooms both equipped with power showers.

Outside guests can easily enjoy what is arguably the jewel in this property’s crown; the lakefront garden. With beautifully landscaped lawns leading under shady mature trees to an extensive sunny terrace with dining area and sun loungers, the scene is set for daytime relaxing and evening entertaining by the lake.

A private jetty also allows guests to moor up a private/rental boat here during their stay, for the best way to explore the lake!

The picturesque historical village of Pognana Lario offers a host of local amenities and is conveniently situated within a 22 minute drive of Como city.

The cosmopolitan lakeside capital of Como enjoys a wide selection of bars, cafes and restaurants as well as elegant boutique-lined streets, a fascinating historical centre. An exciting cultural array of events, exhibitions and concerts can also be enjoyed throughout the year, at Villa Olmo and nearby Villa Erba.

Transport links from Como city are also excellent, with fast motorway links to Milan, the wider Lombardy region and Switzerland. Frequent train services also run to Milan and its airports, whilst a passenger ferry service operates to the famous central lake resort towns.

The touristic central lake is also within easy reach by car, ensuring a fun and varied holiday can be yours; with water sports, Lido days, sightseeing and golf to keep you busy to tennis, hiking, extreme sports and even skiing!

We can also assist you in taking your baggage by boat to/from the Villa upon check-in and check-out, from a small nearby harbour.

Please note that since the property is located directly on the lakeside, there are 150 stone steps from the road level down to the entrance of the villa. Guests can easily leave rental car(s) parked up along the main road. From here the walk down to the villa’s entrance gate is via a 150 m long footpath. Between the various villas situated along the lakeshore there is also a flat footpath, which leads to a public boat stop, from where a ferry service runs towards Como.
