There are picture postcard views stretching away across the lake and inland, towards the Grigna mountain range, the Rhaetian Alps and towards the picturesque town of Varenna. There is a small trattoria within walking distance for a convenient meal out, whilst nearby is the well known town of Bellagio, with its historical centre to explore and a wide range of shops and restaurants. There is a local boat service in Bellagio that serves the numerous towns and villages around the lake, so this is a good starting point to explore Como itself. Further afield is Como town, Milan, Bergamo and Lugano, all within day trip range.
