This simply furnished beach cottage provides ideal summer holiday accommodation for a family wishing to relax in an idyllic Mediterranean setting off the beaten track of mass tourism. Take a dip in the swimming pool or a short stroll down the path to the lovely pebble beach where you can sunbathe and swim in crystal clear waters. In the evening dine al fresco under the covered terrace watching magnificent sunsets over the sea. There is a small private garden within the larger grounds of the estate which are stocked with olive trees, cacti and scented shrubs. Just a few minutes' walk is a good restaurant serving typical Italian delicacies.

This unspoilt coastline alternates between ample bays, rocky cliffs, sheltered coves, strips of sandy and pebble beaches as well as an array of caves perfect for scuba diving and snorkelling. The best vista spanning the entire Cilento coast can be enjoyed from the statue of Jesus the Redeemer in Maratea; well worth the drive up the mountain! Take a boat trip to really appreciate the coastal caves and inlets, or a day trip to the archaeological site of Paestum, the WWF Oasis of Morigerati or the renowned seaside resorts of Palinuro, Acciaroli and Marina di Camerota. Alternatively, heading eastwards, you could reach Matera, recently nominated European Capital of Culture for 2019, and visit its remarkable ‘Sassi’ (meaning ‘stones’), which are prehistoric dwellings dug into the calcareous rock.
