Large coastal family holiday villa - Torre Santa Maria is a unique and historic 16th century lookout tower set on the cliffs close to the village of Maiori, now beautifully preserved and renovated to provide a spectacular holiday property with wonderful sea views. The grounds stretch from the coast road right down to the sea with flights of steps and pathways leading through lush Mediterranean gardens, linking various terraces and finishing at a sunbathing platform just above sea level.

The little town of Maiori just over a mile away was once one of the most important towns along the Amalfi coast, its economic strength coming largely from its fleet of ships and the wide harbour, which made it easily accessible for trade. This elegant resort sits at the mouth of the river Reginna and boasts one of the largest beaches along this coastline. You are bound to enjoy a stroll along the promenade, followed by a meal under the shade of lemon trees at one of the many restaurants, as well as a visit to the bustling market on Fridays!

Most local towns are very easily accessible via the hydrofoil and ferry services and the port at Maiori has been redeveloped with a view to accommodating these boats; why not enjoy a day trip to Positano or to the islands of Capri or Ischia? If you prefer, pick-up & drop-off can be arranged from the villa's own bathing platform, which is a very convenient option. This large coastal family holiday villa is situated along the famous Amalfi Drive which offers spectacular scenery. A visit to Mount Vesuvius where you can climb to the crater and admire the views over the Bay of Naples is a must, and you can visit fascinating Pompei where excavations begun in the 18th century are still on-going. Alternatively you could head south into the Cilento region where the flatter coastline and vast National Park offer an attractive change of scene
