The view over the surrounding countryside is breathtaking and the nearest village of Palazzuolo is just a few minutes’ drive for all the local amenities.

Dating back to 1899, the villa has been sympathetically restored preserving all the original features and character; its stonemasonry, the magnificent open fireplace, the archways and wooden beams. The accommodation is comfortable and conveniently split into several elegantly furnished family suites, with independent access from a central courtyard. This is the main focal point of this former farmhouse, where you can enjoy carefree al-fresco dining with your family and friends in this beautiful, atmospheric communal space. Set on a terrace surrounded by woods and rolling hills, the pool is another splendid spot in which to relax, enjoy a good book or while away the hours in good company.

As you explore the surrounding estate, why not visit the nearby winery and cellars to taste some exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon wine and extra virgin olive oil; surely you will find room in your luggage for a bottle or two to take home with you! In the village of Palazzuolo you will find all the essentials you may need and a few miles away, in Monte San Savino and Gargonza, you will discover two picturesque hilltop villages, steeped in history and perfect for an evening stroll. Arezzo is also a magnificent town and the best way to visit is on foot; park your car in the modern quarter and climb up the hill to the main square with the stunning cathedral. Incidentally, here is where the Italian Academy Award-winning film ‘La Vita è bella’ (Life is beautiful) was filmed. And yes, life is beautiful in Tuscany; Montalcino, Siena and San Gimignano are also within easy reach from Corte dell’Olio and shouldn’t be missed!
