St Jean-Cap-Ferrat is one of the most prestigious locations along the Cote d'Azur, and Villa Ferrat enjoys a secluded position among pine trees within walking distance of the beach, port, shops and restaurants. This spacious family villa dates back to the 1920s and sympathetic refurbishment has allowed a small taste of 'Les Années Folles' to remain. The grounds are a delight, with plenty of shade on those hot summer days. Nearby is a wonderful coastal path with stunning views leading from St Jean-Cap-Ferrat to Beaulieu-sur-Mer. With Villefranche-sur-Mer on the other side of the Cap, there is plenty to explore close to home, but it would be a shame not to venture further into Monaco to see the wonderful Palace and Casino in Monte Carlo.

Good villas within walking distance of a village, restaurants and the beach are like gold dust ... but here we've struck lucky and have a beautiful garden to boot! Villa Ferrat is only 10 minutes walk from the port of St Jean, where you can follow in the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin, Winston Churchill, Jean Cocteau and David Niven, who all stayed here at some point in their lives. I strongly recommend that you pay a visit to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, built in 1912, to admire its fountains, paths, waterfalls and ponds, and to see the 9 splendid gardens, all on a different theme 'French formal , English, Spanish, Florentine, Provençal, exotic, Japanese and Mexican, not to mention the rose garden which is quite unforgettable. The tiny principality of Monaco is only ten miles away and would also make a great trip. You could even leave the car behind one day and take the coastal train to Ventimiglia in Italy: the sea views along this stretch of the line are stunning.
