Old Antibes with its attractive harbour and narrow streets is a traditional Mediterranean sea port, with a daily Provençal market. It boasts numerous restaurants, pavement cafes, shops and a medieval castle, which is now a museum dedicated to Picasso. Popular local attractions for young families include Aquasplash and Marineland.

La Garoupe beach is just a short walk from the villa & offers equipped and “public” sections: the beach is sandy and there are a variety of beach restaurants to choose from, ranging from those you can just drop into to the more exclusive Garoupe Beach Restaurant. You can swim from this beach, and there are some shallower areas particularly suited to children. Strong swimmers can also swim from steps leading to the sea directly in front of the villa itself.

During your stay, try not to miss the chance to hike along the original pilgrim's trail up to the 'Phare de la Garoupe' lighthouse and chapel: a very enjoyable walk and well worth the effort for the spectacular views. Further afield you will find many attractive villages such as Biot, Mougins and Valbonne, and a visit to the famous perfume city of Grasse is another possibility that might appeal. The centre of Cannes is just 20 minutes by car and the many attractions of Nice are only 30 minutes away from this La Garoupe beach villa Cap d'Antibes.
