Port Grimaud is the nearest town to La Colonnade, just over a mile away, featuring a lovely marina, excellent restaurants and shops and a lively summer atmosphere. Within a couple of miles is Grimaud old town and its enchanting medieval castle perched on a hilltop; arguably one of the best viewing points of the bay. A little further afield is the medieval village of La Garde-Freinet for colourful, twice weekly markets and numerous shops and restaurants. The golf at Beauvallon is within a few minutes’ drive and countless watersports are available along the coast, not to mention horse-riding and hiking trails in the surrounding hills.
