There are four generous double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, while a large sofa-bed in the library provides additional accommodation. As with any court, there are private spaces to retreat to, but the apartment really comes to life as a public space for entertaining and sharing from the broad entrance hallway, filled with light and lined with exciting antiques to the vast open salon, the next-door library and the elegant dining room. To top it off, daily cleaning is included, there is a resident chef should you require his services and a private secretary to guide you through your stay. Just off the rue de Courcelles, seven minutes from the Champs Elysées, and surrounded by boutique stores – Comptoir des Cotonniers for example – as well as fabulous local butchers and grocers, here in the upmarket 17th arrondissement you are peacefully located away from the worst of the city's noise and yet within a heartbeat of central Paris. Just north-east of Avenue Foch, the 17th arrondissement is a residential Haussmannian oasis planted on the right bank of the Seine. Whether you fancy an early-morning jog or a late picnic lunch, the peaceful space of the Parc Monceau lies at your feet. Painted frequently by Monet, it is marked by its informal, 'English' style of planting. No visit is complete before you have found the replica Egyptian pyramid, the Dutch windmill and the Chinese fort. The metro Courcelles is a mere 150 metres away, and there are a number of shops to choose from in the vicinity.
