Reached by an impressive sweeping drive, the villa is finished to a high standard and elegantly furnished, totally fenced with large, mostly flat lawn, large pool and pool house with shower & WC.

Built of traditional Provencal stone, this property is ideal for a family wishing to enjoy a tranquil and relaxing holiday, with good outdoor space and a sizeable swimming pool. A large covered terrace just outside the living room adds further character to this villa and would make the perfect spot for long relaxing al fresco meals. The level garden has well tended lawns and shrubs and there is a raised, wooded area to one side of the pool designed as a great children's play area. A short drive, or leisurely 20 minute walk takes you to the heart of St Rémy, where you can easily do your daily shopping and eat out in one of the excellent local restaurants.

There is an extensive market every Wednesday and a produce market on Saturday. The entire region around St Rémy is rich in history and art. Van Gogh painted many of his most famous pictures here, including Starry Night. This was also the home of Nostradamus.

A little further north of St Remy is the splendid walled city of Avignon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which boasts the gothic Palace of the Popes, a wonder not to be missed. Awe-inspiring Roman buildings and ruins are scattered everywhere in this Ancient Roman Province: the impressive triple-tiered aqueduct of the Pont du Gard and the massive arena in Arles are certainly worth a visit. Further west, under an hour’s drive from this villa, is the Camargue National Park, a fascinating wetland known for its pink flamingos, fighting bulls and wild horses, and which offers opportunities for hiking, cycling and horse-riding.
