Bastide de la Poesie is a sympathetically renovated 16th century Plan de la Tour Farmhouse rental on the outskirts of the village. Set in 95 acres of beautiful countryside with forest, vines, olive groves and a stream, the country surrounds make it hard to believe you are just 25 minutes from the hustle and bustle of St Tropez. This is a rustic French farmhouse with pool, furnished in a traditional style and the impressive double height living room with a huge stone pillar, open fireplace and wooden mezzanine adds real character.

Plan de la Tour has many shops, cafes, restaurants and a colourful weekly market. St Tropez is just 25 minutes away with its choice of sophisticated cafes and restaurants. The chic Club 55 on Pampelonne beach, a 4 km stretch of golden sand, is only 16 miles from the Bastide. There are many delightful medieval villages waiting to be explored inland from this French farmhouse with pool. Accommodation

Ground floor :
Impressive, double height living room (TV, DVD, CD), beamed ceiling, large stone pilar, open fireplace, French doors to terrace and garden.
Double bedroom (1.60m), ensuite bathroom with separate shower cubicle, WC.
Steps to adjoining single bedroom (1.20m), French door to garden.
Steps to 2 twin bedrooms (0.90m), interconnecting, one with walk-in shower & washbasin, the other with washbasin only.
Separate shower room and guest WC.
Double bedroom (1.60m) with walk-in shower & washbasin.

Open tread wooden stairs lead from living room to mezzanine level :
Dining room , overlooking living room.
Kitchen , door to external steps which lead down to the garden. Part way down these steps is a twin bedroom (narrow 0.80m beds), please note this has a very low ceiling (not suitable for adults) and external access only (not suitable for young children).

Lower ground floor (external access only, ideal for nanny/staff) :

Grounds :
40 hectares of terraced grounds encompassing forest, vines, olive groves and a stream - care with young children. Horses live on the estate but are not seen from the house. A dog lives within the grounds, ask us for details. Good size lawn. Gravel area with trees for shade, table tennis. Fully equipped summer kitchen and adjacent summer dining room, built-in charcoal barbecue. Steps down to large pool with poolside bar, fridge. Private 16m x 9m pool (depth: 1m - 2.20m). The caretaker lives in an independent cottage at the entrance to the property.
