Calabash Grenada is a luxury resort with a selection of suites and villas. The resort is located at L’Anse Aux Epine, just 10 minutes from the airport.

Swallow Villa is a luxury 3 bedroom villa and offers sophisticated comfort in a convenient location. The villa has a very spacious kitchen adjoining the living and dining room area, a computer equipped office, a breezy covered patio area and three air-conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.

The king bedded master suite is enhanced by a large lavish master bath with whirlpool bath for two, mirrored walls, deluxe shower and a dressing room. French doors lead out to the covered patio and to the sunny pool deck and pool gazebo. The second bedroom is across the patio for excellent privacy, and the third, very separate bedroom is at the end of Swallow Villa’s pool in its own pavilion. A hardwood staircase leads to the pavilion’s lower level and an exercise area with workout equipment and a sitting room.

The resort has an abundance of amenities and facilities including 2 restaurants and 2 bars, a boutique, a large fresh water swimming pool, a fitness centre, a floodlit tennis court and a snooker room. Heaven & Earth Spa at the Calabash has a range of luxurious treatments available.

About The Area

Grenada is affectionately known as the spice island due to its wealth of natural spices such as cinnamon, saffron and most popularly nutmeg, available to purchase at numerous markets and stores on the island. The island is 133 square miles with the majority of villas, resorts and restaurants located on the beaches of the south west, whilst the northern side is covered with mountainous beautiful rain forest.

Grenada is truly an idyllic place to simply unwind and the warmth and sincerity of the Grenadian people will make you feel at home very quickly. The beaches are quieter than elsewhere in the Caribbean, with no noisy motorized water sports to be found. Simply relax and enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sea. For the more adventurous there is hiking and sailing. Grenada is also known as the best island in the Eastern Caribbean for Diving, with a plethora of wrecks, reefs, marine life and even an underwater sculpture park. There are a wide range of dive centres but amongst our favourite is Dive Grenada, located on Grande Anse Beach.

The nightlife scene in Grenada is much quieter than other islands but there a few bars to enjoy some cocktails and live entertainment including the Dodgy Dock and Owl Bar. The local cuisine has Creole influences and is delicious, a must try is Crab and Calloo and most restaurants will serve a mix of local and international cuisines. Olivers and La Sagrese are recommended and Gary Rhodes also has a restaurant the Calabash hotel.
