In addition to all of the exqisite Seven Mile Beach dining options, restaurants situated in West Bay all offer stunning sea views and a wide range of delicious and innovative menu options.

Top dining spots in West Bay include Catch, Cracked Conch and Macabuca. Head to Cracked Conch for fine dining in their air conditioned restaurant or on the terrace – enjoy their mouth-watering seafood and meat dishes for lunch or dinner. For a more laid back vibe visit Macabuca (located underneath Cracked Conch) for cold drinks and Caribbean snacks which are served all day. Both restaurants are situated right on the water’s edge and offer great diving and snorkelling just yards from your table! If fresh seafood with international and Caribbean influences is your thing, then try Catch, the restaurant enjoys a lovely breeze and their cocktails are fantastic too!

Your family and friends will have plenty to explore and enjoy during their stay in West Bay.Encounter wildlife and nature at the Cayman Turtle Centre. Here you can swim with turtles and other colourful marine life in Turtle Lagoon, take a walk down the historic Cayman Street and visit exotic birds in the Caribbean Aviary. There is also a Nature Trail, two lagoons, waterfalls and a Predator Tank where sharks, a large barracuda and other fascinating marine predators live! And of course you can meet the turtles, which range from tiny hatchlings to adults over 600 pounds. Don’t miss the chance to pick one up out of the touch tank or participate in turtle feeding! They now offer a courtesy shuttle bus from locations on SMB to the Turtle Centre.

Get underwater and explore some great shore dives/snorkel spots. Turtle Reef is just off the Cracked Conch restaurant and has a mini wall with lots of fish, vibrant coral and a cave where huge tarpon love to hang out. You can rent equipment below the restaurant at Sundivers, jump in for a snorkel or dive, then have lunch at Cracked Conch or Macabuca. Another shore dive is just down the road at Divetech’s Lighthouse Point. Don’t miss the 13ft statue of the mythological creature “Guardian of the Reef” which makes a great underwater photo.

Go horseback riding along Barkers Beach, a wonderful horseback riding company. Choose from morning, afternoon, sunset or moonlight rides on their happy and well looked after horses. You can even swim with the horses in the sea for a truly unique Caribbean experience.

Take a trip to Hell and take the opportunity to send your friends a “postcard from HELL”! Hell got its name from the quarter acre of blackened calciferous rock in this area, but unless you are a geology student don’t expect to spend more than 10 minutes here. Entry is free.
